Hello, 1st time customer here. I've read good things about your holsters so I'm ordering one. I'm retired LEO & US Army MP before that, been shooting for 46 yrs, always been a 'weapons guy' so I know my way around them & gear. I've purchased 25+ Kydex holsters over the past 15 yrs when I decided to give them a chance over leather only & I've run into to several problems with fitment with many of them that are light-bearing models & utilize rivets to bind the front & rear of the holster. Almost every one of them have been too tight upon receipt & continued to shave material from the inside of the holster in addition to being almost impossible to the pistol due to the level of tightness, that due to the rivets, can't be adjusted. I've had to drill out the rivets, construct a method of adding rubber grommets/washers then screws & nuts to fill the holes where the fixed rivets were, all in order for me to make the holster (that was non-returnable) functional. I've called ahead to some makers, asking them to forgo the use of rivets & use only screws & nuts in the construction of the holster they would make for me. A couple have accommodated this, others state that they don't want to be responsible for my holster coming apart due to my neglect of keeping the proper level of tension to the screws, then my pistol hitting the deck & sustaining damage, then me wanting to be compensated by them for repair, so they've declined to forgo the use of fixed rivets promising that their holster 'won't arrive too tight'....but which always did..They ALL were too tight for my desired level of retention, so I've never bought from them again. I've simply moved to another holster maker. As I stated, I've been actively shooting & a part of the gun world for over 40 years. I know how to maintain my weapons & gear & am meticulous in such matters. My request to you for this holster that I'm ordering, is that you kindly do not utilize any fixed rivets in it & use only additional screws & nuts that are already in the other positions in the holster which I will Loctite into position once I've set my desired level of retention. This holster will only be for wearing my pistol inside & outside of my home & property in the woods of Northern Arizona. No 'running & gunning' or any other type of strenuousness activity or training will be undertaken while utilizing your holster. Should you require some type of statement from me regarding a release from your liability, any type of waiver, etc., due to you constructing this holster without fixed rivets, I have no problem with providing you with whatever you deem necessary.
